A useful audio featuring Joel Salatin who is well renowned for his work in developing innovative ways to utilise pasture in the States - well worth a listen:

We are new PFLA members. Lambing is finally giving us time to take part in this sort of thing!
Up til now we have always fattened lambs on milk and grass alone. This year we have a few sets of triplets running. Last year they were on a clover-rich seeds field and did well. However, as we have an annual alternation between sheep and cattle (for parasite reasons) this year they are on permanent pasture - land that we only took on last year and that has been under-grazed and the landlord has sprayed for thistles - and are not doing as well. We are tempted to put the creep feeder out, but before we go against our principles, any ideas....?
(Currently they are running on about 5/6cm sward)
