The Pasture-Fed Livestock Association c.i.c aims to adopt the approach of the American Grass-fed Association, which is a lean organisation with only one full time member of staff supported by a number of part-time specialists who deal with specific issues.

As the PFLA’s membership grows and more produce is sold under the Pastoral mark it plans to be self-sustaining, requiring only additional funding for further developments and research activities.

However, in order to establish the PFLA and Pastoral brand some seed corn funding was required, and the following individuals and organisations stepped forward to provide the start-up costs (listed in alphabetical order by surname):
